Based in Worcestershire, Leonie studied art and design 'A' levels and GNVQ prior to studying Theatre and Performance Design at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where she graduated in 2004 with a First Class BA honours degree. She has designed costumes for a number of theatre productions and films, which have been shown at Cannes Film Festival. She has experience also in visual display for retail and is now working as a freelance artist in Christian ministry.

 
This new creative journey began in September 2005 when Leonie began to paint as God both lead and spoke to her. Much of her work is based around biblical passages and Christian faith. Her aim within her visual ministry is to share and make available as much of her work as possible to a wide community. As well as exhibiting her work and sharing as part of a church service;reaching those outside of the church building is equally as important. Leonie has both displayed and donated her work to places within the community which include hospitals, places of retreat as well as places of worship. Leonie began sharing her work in November 2005 two months after completing her first work, since then she has staged exhibitions and shared her work in Worcestershire, Birmingham and Coventry.
