| The visual lectionary
is a database of paintings and drawings set out so that you can easily
access art for a specific season or feast day. Click on each underlined
heading to find images that relate to that season or feast. The visual lectionary is designed to give an idea of images that could be used if planning a service or seasonal display. Note that the lectionary varies slightly from year to year so images that relate to specific bible readings may not appear under the headings for any particular season, such works of art are listed in categories at the end of the visual lectionary. The additional categories listed are: Bible Stories, Psalms, Book of Revelation and Images from darkness into light. For an overall view of artworks please refer to the gallery pages where images are listed as drawings, paintings or series'. | |
